Notary Signings At My Office
Each signature notarized at my office is priced at $15, following the standard fee in Los Angeles County. This service is ideal for clients who can visit my office location for their notarization needs and is a much lower cost alternative to mobile notary services. My office is located in San Gabriel, right next to Pasadena.
Mobile Notary
For added convenience, I offer mobile notary services. The base travel fee is $50 within Los Angeles during standard business hours. This fee covers travel up to 10 miles. For distances of 11-20 miles, the fee is $75, and for 21-30 miles, it’s $100. Each signature is an additional $15.
24 Hour Emergency Notarizations
By special request and availability, I can provide 24 hour (late nights and weekends included) wherever you are. These may be hospital or jail notarizations, death bed, or perhaps just a scheduling conflict or late nightwork hours. If after 6pm PST, please text me at (213) 453-6991.
Acceptable ID
For notarization, valid identification is required. Acceptable forms include state-issued driver’s licenses, passports, military IDs, or other government-issued identification with a photograph and signature. All identification must be unexpired, OR issued within the last five years.
15 Things to keep in mind
I want to ensure that every client has a positive experience when they require a notarization, so I have compiled a list of 15 things you need to know in order to make the process of notarizing smooth.
- Schedule an Appointment: Avoid walk-ins; ensure you have a scheduled time.
- I cannot provide legal advice or change a document. I am not an attorney and my sole job is to ensure that the signer of a document is the correct signer.
- Bring Valid ID: Have a government-issued photo ID like a driver’s license or passport. This ID must have your photo and signature and must either be unexpired, or issued within the last five years. I cannot accept IDs such as birth certificates or social security cards.
- Document Preparedness: Ensure your documents are fully completed, except for the signatures. If there are other blanks, I will ask you to either fill them out or cross them out. I cannot do this for you.
- Understand the Document: Know the contents and implications of the document you are signing.
- Do Not Pre-Sign: Never sign a document before the notary appointment.
- Awareness of the Process: Familiarize yourself with the notarization process to set expectations.
- Check for Witnesses: If your document requires witnesses, bring them along.
- Payment Methods: Know the accepted forms of payment for the notary service.
- Mobile Notary Availability: If you need a mobile notary, confirm my travel area and availability.
- Clarity on Fees: Understand the fees for notarization and any additional services like mobile notarization.
- Punctuality: Arrive on time for your appointment to avoid delays.
- Language Considerations: I only speak English and I cannot use a device or another person to translate for me
- Physical Presence: All signers must be physically present during notarization.
- Mental Capacity: Ensure that all signers are of sound mind and understand the document they are signing.
